1992

zeb was founded in Münster in 1992 by university professors Dr. Henner Schierenbeck and Dr. Bernd Rolfes as the “Zentrum für ertragsorientiertes Bankmanagement“ (center for profit-oriented bank management, abbreviated as zeb).

1997

zeb branches out into Austria and Switzerland with the opening of offices in Vienna and Zurich.

1998

Further offices in Germany are opened in Berlin and Frankfurt.

2001

An additional German office in Munich and our new Warsaw office in Poland are opened at the end of the year. Moreover, our subsidiary zeb.information.technology is incorporated.

2007

A new zeb office in Hamburg opens its doors.

2011

zeb establishes an office in Luxembourg. compentus GmbH, an independent consultancy offering services to the cooperative banking sector, is incorporated as a new subsidiary.

2012

With offices in Stockholm, Copenhagen and Oslo, zeb’s presence does not only spread to Northern Europe. By opening an office in Milan, zeb further expands in the opposite direction at the same time.

2014

zeb strengthens its footprint in Eastern Europe by opening an office in Moscow.

Since 2016

zeb London opens in mid-2016 followed by the opening of the Amsterdam and New York offices in 2018. With 1,000+ employees, zeb becomes the leading consultancy in the financial services sector.
